"Watts Up" with Watts Up Yarn Company?
***UPDATED AUGUST 27th, 2018***
Things have been SSSLLLOOOWWW as the summer ends. I expected sales to drop in the summer months (vacation, weather conditions, etc.) but let me just say I did NOT anticipate in taking such a blow. Luckily for me, I am not the only person experiencing such a lull, and that makes me feel hopeful and helps me to take a sigh of relief. It's so easy to fall into the mind set of, "I am failing" -- I totally felt that and on some days I still feel that! I am still not quite stress free, for I still have obligations to fulfill and events to follow through on and there's another lesson I've learned; it's ok to not be perfect. There are so many things that I am learning and taking note on along the way and it will make me stronger and better prepared for next time.
It also doesn't help that suddenly the supplier I go through to get my yarn has been having backorder issues (I mean, really? Why right now?) and that has been another huge concern for me at the moment in time because I've put so much effort into providing you all with a consistent product line. All I can really say to that is I am doing my very best and working through the issues as best I can.
Coming up in the end of September I will be traveling to Door County, Wisconsin for my first ever KNITTING RETREAT! My husband signed me up as a birthday present and now I will also be taking some of my yarn with me for the marketplace!
In October, I will be having a trunk show in Mission Viejo at Yarn Del Sol - and I am having a meet and greet at the shop on Oct. 13th between noon-3pm. Come on in and say hi!
Lastly, in November I was asked by The Altered Stitch yarn shop to join them at the Stitches SoCal event in Pasadena, CA. Because of the low amount of sales during these summer months and also the backorder stock issue with my supplier plus the lack of time to come up with more funds AND time, I am not too sure I will be there. It's not for sure yet but I am going to do my best to be there.
Overall, I am still SO SO thankful for all of you who love my hand-dyed yarns and who have remained loyal customers/followers and even friends! You all truly hold a special place in my heart for helping me make my passion and dream come true!
