"Watts Up" with Watts Up Yarn Company?
May 8th, 2018
So I officially have my new dye space and I am just beyond happy with it. I feel a type of freedom from the stress and worry of being limited by lack of space. But that is fixed now! Our entire dining room has been transformed into my studio. The kitchen is attached to the dining room so I have the access to water that I need and a stovetop when needed. This couldn't have come at a better time. I just hope that I continue to be blessed by continued success in this business that has become a great passion of mine. I just couldn't imagine not being able to do what I love. I am blessed to have so many great supporters and amazing customers to keep this dream of mine a reality.
Besides that, I have A LOT of stuff to start prepping for!! And I need to start now so I am not scrambling and stressing out as the time gets closer! Coming up in October I will be having another trunk show at a new-to-me yarn shop -- Yarn Del Sol in Mission Viejo. I am really excited to be venturing out into a new area and a new local yarn store! I will also be doing a meet and greet there which always makes me happy. I love talking to people and seeing them admire my hard work. It makes the hard work so worth it. After the trunk show there, in November I will be joining the Altered Stitch yarn shop, where I had my first trunk show, at Stitches SoCal in Pasadena! I am so so so beyond excited that the team at the Altered Stitch asked me to join them for this event! It could very well end up being a turning point for my small business! It all makes me super excited but extremely nervous. I want nothing more than to succeed with flying colors in all that I do with my small business. That little evil voice inside my head likes to pop up every once in awhile and tries to discourage me -- it tries to make me believe that I can't do it, that I won't be able to pull it off. I quickly throw those thoughts out and replace them with positive words. I can do it and I will do it! Bottom line!
If you live in the Mission Viejo area or you know you're going to Stitches SoCal in November, PLEASE come see me!! Meeting you all and talking about what we love brings so much joy and love to me. If you are not local and you live in another state, please connect with me in anyway that you can! There's nothing more enjoyable to me than to know all you people out there make my dream possible. There are no words and no amount of THANK-YOUs that would be sufficient enough to express my gratitude. In the meantime, happy making, knitting, crocheting, yarn squishing etc.!!!
